Most pediatricians and child development experts (including your friendly local childcare provider—hi!) agree that around 6 months is a great time to begin exploring solids. Look for:

  • Good head and neck control

  • Sitting up with support

Soft scrambled egg yolks – great for iron and brain development

Oatmeal – iron-fortified and easy to mix with breast milk or formula
